New wireless standard is all but officialJanuary 25, 2007
The Dallas Morning News reports that in November 2006 the final draft of the 802.11n wireless standard was approved. The article cautions readers to be mindful of other devices when upgrading since it's an all-or-nothing proposition. Mac owners will need to run a $2 enabler or purchase Apple's 802.11n router, Airport Extreme, which comes with the enabler.
